Post-Excavation Work & Finds Analysis
Following on-site work we compile post-excavation reports for submission to clients, English Heritage, and other bodies. These typically include details concerning the historic and archaeological background of the site, the work undertaken (including plans, sections and photographs), and any conclusions reached.
We undertake some specialist finds' analysis in-house (such as for clay-pipe and coins), but use specialists for other types of finds (ceramic building material; pottery; small finds; glass; prehistoric finds). We have a good working relationship with these individuals - who all have numerous years experience in their various finds.
Following this, it may be necessary, in cases where significant finds have been found, for publications to be produced. We are also involved in an ongoing programme of archive deposition.
