Compass Archaeology was founded in 2000 as an independent commercial unit and has established an excellent reputation in the archaeological community since that date – undertaking hundreds of projects to date.

Our Director, Geoff Potter has many years worth of experience in commercial archaeology – having previously been a Project Manager at both the Museum of London Archaeological Service and Cotswold Archaeology. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists, and has been involved in the compilation of many publications and talks.
